Joshua offers workshops, performances, and residencies for students from kindergarten through high school. 

K-2: "Living Books Project" – students bring a book from their curriculum to life.

Grades 3-7: "Composer’s Toolbox" and "Sports & Music" 

Middle/high school: "History of Music on Earth" – an interactive tour through time including, polyrhythm, chant, fugue, patterns, structure, songlines, and commonalities. 

Residency topics for colleges, libraries, and museums include: 
"Performing for Non-Performers;" "Scoring Masterworks;" "Bending Time;" 
"Mashed-Up History of the Popular Song."

Mr. Stone is a registered teaching artist with the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism.  He was awarded a 2007 Artist Fellowship grant by the CCT.

Windows on the World 
 Mr. Stone has designed a year-long artist residency program in Litchfield County, CT.  1350 students are collaborating on an album entitled, Windows on the World.  

This music will be available to each of Region One’s six elementary schools as an implement for fundraising.  

The project is made possible by a grant from the Falls Village Community and Cultural Center.
